The Truschbaum Museum shows the history of the camp Elsenborn. The camp has a history of more than a century. Many documents, equipment and weapons are exhibited here. A First World War trench is imitated and many relics and dioramas present the Battle of the Bulge. Noteworthy is that this museum is located on military grounds and Camp Elsenborn is still in use.

 This museum is focussed on the Battle of the Bulge, but also gives an overview of the history of Camp Elsenborn.

Camp Elsenborn

 Camp Elsenborn is an active military training ground for artillery exercises of the Belgium Army.

Museum temporarily closed

The museum has been temporarily closed due to the increased security measures after recent events.

But below that statement you can read on the website (Dutch or French): Groups of more than 15 people can visit the museum when an appointment is made 2 weeks before hand. Reservations can be made by telephone +32 80 44 21 05. The Deputy Camp Commander evaluates the application, depending on the available staff.
